We personally don’t subscribe to a Vegan lifestyle, but that doesn’t mean we turn our nose up at it either! Vegan recipes are a fantastic way to up the anti on the micronutrients you are including in your diet.
Truth be told – we have been making this recipe for years & only just realised that it could be shared with our Vegan friends! Its delicious, contains no nasties or animal products and best of all it can be enjoyed by the whole family!
You can make one big bowl to share, or divide it into small cups to better manage your portion control (speaking for myself!)
2 very ripe bananas
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
4 tbsps maple syrup
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
- Put the banana, avo and cocoa powder in a food processor and blend until smooth.
- While it is still processing, add cinnamon & vanilla extract and then gradually pour in the maple syrup.
- Put mixture into an airtight container and refrigerate for at least one hour.
- Serve cold from the fridge! Add fruit and nuts to the top to suit your taste and enjoy!
